6 million gamblers in SA

Professor Peter Collins, the Executive Director of the South African National Responsible Gambling Programme, recently noted that approximately 6 million South Africans gamble on a regular basis, creating a revenue of R20 million for land based and online casinos and Poker Rooms. Professor Collins says that online gambling activity in the last few months has shown a striking increase which he accredits to advancements in technology and a growing interest in online casinos and Poker Rooms amongst the younger generation.
