Beshear and IMEGA Head to Court

Kentucky State Govenor Steven Beshear and IMEGA (Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association) are heading to the American Supreme Court soon in what is one of the most highly contested poker based cases in history. The case began when the Governor made clear his intentions to seize 141 website domain names that belonged to online gambling groups. The Governor’s contention is that online gambling is illegal and as such, the seizure was lawful. IMEGA have contended that poker is legal and therefore the Governor’s actions were against the law.
