Clash of the Titans

SilverStar Casino in Johannesburg has been announced as the venue for the August 2009 ‘Clash of the Titans’, the largest freeze-out Poker tournament in Africa. With a R50, 000 buy in and a R2million guaranteed purse, over 200 players are expected to take part. Organisers are confident that audiences will get to see both local and international stars.

The Clash will take place over four days from the 27th to the 31st August 2009 and will be deep-stacked and blinds structured. The tournament will be broadcast on national television, a move which has organizers Ace High Poker excited. Spokesperson Joggie Aucamp says “We are looking forward to creating a spectacle where players and the audience will have a chance to meet the international stars of Poker.”
