Cryptologic signs up with Betfair

Cryptologic has signed a multi-year deal with Betfair, an agreement which will see a number of the software developer’s game becoming available to the estimated two million Betfair customers by the end of June 2009. This deal has been made possible through Cryptologic’s deal with Orbis Technology to utilise their Fixed Odds Games platform. Cryptologic CEO Brian Hadfield said that “our new relationship with Betfair is excellent proof of the potential of our ‘build once, license often’ strategy. Our games are popular and profitable.”

Betfair was launched in 2000 as an online betting exchange and now processes over 6 million transactions daily. The company’s portfolio includes casino and exchange games, as well as Poker. Cryptologic and Betfair have a previous working relationship dating back to 2004, when Betfair launched their Poker site using Cryptologic software.
