Kaplan given jail sentence

BetOnSports CEO Gary Kaplan has been handed a 51 month prison sentence by a judge in the US, the maximum sentence permitted for operators of internet sports betting sites. Kaplan has been in jail since he was arrested in March 2007 and pleaded guilty to all charges this year in August. In addition to his jail term, his agreement with the government includes forfeiting US$44 million.
