Microsoft exec in IGT fold

Internal Game Technology has acquired the services of ex Microsoft executive Chris Satchell, who will be filling the newly created post of Chief Technology Officer at Reno based IGT. Satchell has been with Microsoft for seventeen years and has been responsibility for industry leading innovations such as the Xbox, Games for Windows, Xbox Live and Microsoft Game Studios. IGT CEO Patti Hart was quoted as saying that “Chris will play an instrumental role in shaping our strategic and tactical technological vision and refocusing our internal technology support on many levels within the organization.” Satchell will be responsible for the direct management of the information systems team, research and development and the advanced software architecture group.
