Poorya Wins PokerStars

Canadian Poorya Nazari has won $3 million at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure from his initial pool of $700. Naziri is a 22 year old biochemistry student who won his seat in the tournament on a $33 triple turbo re-buy. He was one of 1, 347 players in the no limit hold’em event which generated a $12, 5 million pot. Nazari was quoted as saying “It was only today that I started thinking about winning. At one point yesterday I was down to virtually nothing but I got off to a good start today and at that point I thought I might have a shot.” He has also won a seat in the EPT Grand Final which takes place in Monte Carlo.
