SA Casinos make huge contribution to GDP South African casinos have added R143 billion to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product). The contribution in the 2008/2009 financial year was over R20 billion and in the past 13 years. Over 48,000 industry related jobs have been create and if indirect jobs were taken into account, the number would balloon to 90,000. The government has also benefited receiving around R4.1 million in revenue.
