Vilakasi Went A-wooing in Macau

CEO of Business Unity of South Africa (BUSA), Jerry Vilakasi has been on a trade visit to Macau, the gambling capital of Asia. Appearing as a guest of the South African Consul, Vilakasi highlighted the opportunities that existed in the tourism, gambling and infrastructure industries.

Vilakasi holds high hopes for potential South African / Macau partnerships. Vilakasi is a non-executive member of the South African Gambling Board and believes that Macau can offer invaluable advice to South Africa regarding gambling tourism. With regards to the gambling industry in this country, Vilakasi commented that “If you look at the gambling industry in South Africa, you can see that it is an industry that has only been in existence for fifteen years but it is one of those industries that contributes largely to the GDP.”
