Young Canadian wins WSOP You may remember the 28 year old, Scott Montgomery, after he played in the main event of the 2008 WSOP. Recently, however, he topped a 3102-player field to win his first ever WSOP event. He earned himself $481,760 in the $1000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em World Championship. In 2008, Montgomery finished fifth behind the winner, Peter Eastgate.
