Our local Palace Jester believes that he is the smartest
in all of the African Kingdom. But we know that you can
reveal him for the royal fool that he is. In this
section he puts forth a weekly challenge, and if you can
answer his question correctly African Palace will award
to bonus rewards! Here is this weeks Jester Throne Room
Challenge:
Can you guess who this is:
I was born on January 3rd, 1969. When I was four, my
father modified my pedal kart by adding a small
motorcycle engine. After I crashed it into a lamp post,
my parents took me to the local karting track where I
became the youngest member of the karting club. My
father soon built me a proper kart from discarded parts
and at the age of six I won my first club championship.
To support my racing, my dad took on a second job
renting and repairing karts at the circuit, while my mum
worked at the track's canteen stand. Despite the extra
income, when I needed a new engine costing R4000, my
parents were unable to afford it, but I was able to
continue racing through support offered by several local
businessmen.
I am now a retired a former formula one driver and I am
credited with popularizing the sport in my country as I
am the first person from my country to ever win the
championship. My driving sometimes created controversy
and I was twice involved in collisions that determined
the outcome of the World Championships.
In the last race of my career I was forced to start
tenth position because of fuel problems. Early in the
race I moved up to sixth place. However, in overtaking a
driver, I experienced a tyre puncture caused by the
front wing of the car I was passing. I pitted and
consequently fell to 19th place, 70 seconds behind my
teammate and race leader. I recovered and eventually
finished at fourth place. My performance was classified
in the press as "heroic" an "utterly breath-taking
drive", and a "performance that ... sums up [my]
career".
