Letter from the Editor

Hi

Its finally here! This Friday the Rugby World Cup kicks off in France and here at African Palace our hopes for all of Africa will be on the Springboks bringing home the grand prize. African Palace will be running two promotions where you can win excellent prizes including a trip for two to the final stages of the tournament.

It has been twelve years since that monumentally historic day when Francois Pienaar lifted the trophy next to Nelson Mandela. And this year Captain John Smit will be looking to do the same, as he proudly waves Africa’s flag in France.

Speaking of flags, this week we run our fourth increasingly popular F1 prediction competition when the F1 goes to Italy. With competition being as tight as it is, predicting a winner in the F1 has never been this challenging, but if you can do so, we will make sure you win big!

Have a brilliant week and best of luck to South Africa when they take on Samoa this Sunday. Go Boks!!!!!

Regards,

In our fourth "His Win Could Be Your Win" competition you get another chance to win big. African Palace visits the Monza track, which, for many, is the embodiment of F1 racing. All you have to do is predict either the grand winner of the race, or the top three podium finishes and you would win up to R30 000 in bonuses – whichever option you choose.

A total of almost R200 000 went to players that took part in our previous F1 competition for the Turkish Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton finished outside the podium as the Ferraris picked up a top two finish to blow the competition wide open. It’s difficult to predict a winner but if you can you would win big.

The Megaball machine sits at R1.2. million – but that ball is rolling pretty fast, and the more it rolls, the higher the jackpot!

The Blackjack Progressive edges closer to R1 million – an Ace may be all you need to make YOU the King or Queen.

The Magic Slots have rocketed to R780 000 – Potter who? You don’t have to be a wizard to win big here!

The Cinerama machine is now over R260 000 while the Caribbean Poker sits at R235 000 – So whether you like to indoors with a movie or outdoors on the beach, there is a slot for you..

Be sure to also check out our other progressives as the jackpots just get bigger and bigger.

Last week the Jester thought he fooled you, but many of you knew that the correct answer was Michael Schumacher. The man is a legend in F1 racing and we issued percentage bonuses with a minimum of R100 to players that correctly submitted their details of their winning upon notification of their winnings.

If you didn’t win last time, the Jester is back to redeem himself in the palace with this weeks trivia question..

Can you guess who this is:

I was born on 15 March 1974. I am is a well-renown sportsman in my home country where I played before moving to Wales in 2002. After the 2004/5 season I returned to my homeland.

I earned his first National cap at the age of 23 and I amassed 50 caps by the end of 2001. However, his International career was stalled after my move to Wales, since at that time players were only eligible for National selection if they were playing domestically. After a change in policy, I was recalled by the then new coach in 2004, adding 11 caps and playing an important role in my country's resurgence that year. I was the leading point scorer in both the 2004 and 2005 editions of a prestigious international tournament, and currently hold the record for the most points scored in a career by a player from my country. On 17 June 2006, I became the first player from my country to reach 600 points a career. On 9 June this year I passed the 700-point mark. My 768 Test points (as of a recent match) give me more than twice as many as the player in second place on the all-time points list for players from my country. Barring injury, I will be the most-capped player from my country after a major forthcoming tournament.

I was somewhat enigmatic and erratic early in my career where I could be parts brilliant and then woeful in the same match. It is somewhat tongue in cheek but now almost all fans acknowledge me as a fine athlete.

Send answers to editor@africanpalace.com before 8th September 2007. Correct entries will win bonuses into their accounts. Keep an eye on your email!

Kiara
