Winter is finally over… It's time to wake up and spring back into action. The world is coming to life again, the bees are buzzing, the flowers are blossoming and the Jackpots are blooming - featuring a total of over R20 million up for grabs!

August saw the 2008 Beijing Olympics - and what a time of astonishing events it turned out to be. China took home the most gold medals, totaling an astounding 49 gold whilst America managed to accumulate 34 gold medals! Khotso Mokoena brought home 1 silver medal in the men’s long jump finals for South Africa - Congratulations Khotso - we are extremely proud of you!

The ultimate star of the Olympics without a doubt had to be the American Swimmer Michael Phelps. At just 23 years old, Phelps has broken an amazing 7 world records and pushed the standards in swimming to an all time high. With eight gold medals from these games and 14 medals overall Phelps will unlikely be beaten for a long-long time. Not even the likes of Roland Schoeman and Ryk Neethling could match the beast of Michael Phelps!

During the Olympics we ran "Going for Gold" - whereby we rewarded you for South Africa’s successes - we gave away R90 000 in free bonuses and 1 lucky winner, and their partner, won a Champagne Hot Air Balloon ride.

An outstanding total of R330 000 has been given away this F1 season!

This F1 season has had its fair share of astonishment, with the likes of a first ever victory for McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen, Toyota’s Timo Glock left the German Grand Prix in an ambulance following a high-speed crash, and then he wowed us all by clenching a second place finish at the Budapest Grand Prix just two weeks later. Glock’s second place was also Toyota’s best finish thus far this F1 season, securing Toyota a fourth place in the constructor’s standings. Lewis Hamilton is still on top of the leaders’ board with a safe 5 point lead over Kimi Räikkönen, and an 8 point lead over Felipe Massa. Ferrari is dominating the constructors’ board with an 11 point lead over McLaren-Mercedes and an outstanding 21 point lead over BMW Sauber.
