Letter from the Editor

Hi

Why is it that just when you start enjoying something it slips away from you? I've built up a great tan and have been enjoying Margaritas by the pool... and now Summer's on it's way out of here. Cheerio and good bye - see you next year! At least I'm still in a fabulous mood - and bursting at the seams to share all my news.

February was a non-stop party at African Palace! We gave away some heart-throbbing, jaw-dropping prizes in February and we're continuing this fluttering trend into March and beyond. The highlight of the month was giving five of our loyal players a dreamy Valentine's prize to enjoy with their loved ones. Prizes included Hot Air Balloon rides and weekend getaways.

February also saw the start of the Super 14 and that in turn kicked off our "Super 14 Fever" promotion. We're looking forward to some more nail-biting action over the coming months and we're keeping our fingers crossed for all our SA teams. May the best 'South African' team win!

Looking to the future, March welcomes back (by popular demand) our Jester's challenge. He's got some tricks up his sleeve this time round...

So much to do, so little time! Keep your eye on the exciting developments at African Palace and I'll catch up with you next month.

Happy Gaming!

St.Valentine visited African Palace in February

Our hearts are still a-flutter following our dreamy 'Love is in the Air' promotion. We spread the romance to new places and rekindled some old flames as we gave five of our loyal players a Valentine's Day prize to remember. We gave away weekends away and Hot Air Balloon flights to leave our players on Cloud 9. Each prize had an element of magic and left our players weak at the knees. I'd love to summarise all the fabulous prizes but here's a quick sneak peak and our top comp point earner's magical prize...

Melanie S was whisked away to the beautiful Budmarsh Private Lodge in Magaliesburg where she enjoyed a weekend of 5-star luxury. Melanie was treated to the tranquility and romantic ambience that Magaliesburg is so well known for. Her weekend was complimented by excellent food, service and luxury, breathtaking views and romantic sunsets...the ultimate weekend getaway. All she had to do to win this magical weekend away was play - as she usually does - our five highest comp point earners each won one of these magical prizes. Well done, Melanie, we hope you had an amazing time!

Jester's back...and he's got some tricks up his sleeve!

It's that time again! The Jester is back by popular demand and he wants you to put your thinking caps on again to identify the celebrities in this edition of the Jester's Challenge. You could win yourself an incredible R100 bonus just for submitting your answers, but he assures us there are going to be some mind-twisters...

Can you guess who I am?

I am a Norwegian poker player, born on September 18, 1988. I started my poker career online when I was only fifteen years old. I have never deposited money on any online poker site, instead I made my initial online bankroll by winning freeroll poker tournaments. The day before my 19th birthday I won the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe Main Event winning the US$2.01 million first prize. By doing so I edged the record for a single-event payout to a female player set previously by poker professional Annie Duke. I currently hold first place among Norwegian poker players in the all-time money list in live tournaments and I am still only 21 years old. Who am I?

Send your answers to editor@africanpalace.com before our next newsletter. Correct entries will win a R100 bonus. Please ensure that you provide your username (AFR Number) and email address together with your answer to the Jesters Challenge. Good luck!
